Provided is a cosmetic composition containing an ultra-thin carbon (UTC) material having a side diameter of 0.1-5 &mu；m, as a plate-shaped material obtained from graphite. The cosmetic composition forms a laminated structure of UTC material when it is coated on the skin, and active components in the cosmetic are placed between UTC material layers.
