A top section (8) covers the bottom section (6) and includes a front wall (36) angled downwardly towards the front end of the urinal (1). The top section (8) further includes a urine receiving opening (4) defined therein that is in communication with the interior of the urinal (1). A contact zone (42) surrounds the opening (4) that is arranged to be placed in contact with the pubic area of a user. The contact zone comprises a curved surface (42) that curves inwardly into the opening (4) such that the opening (4) is recessed within the front wall (36) with the inner edge of the opening (4) faces inwardly into the urinal (1).
