To provide compositions for dyeing keratin fibers that can prevent or reduce skin staining due to direct dyes on the skin, such as the scalp, despite the use of direct dyes, while imparting excellent cosmetic effects, for example good (or at least acceptable) coloring properties to keratin fibers.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a composition, preferably in the form of a W/O emulsion, for dyeing keratin fibers, preferably hair, which comprises: (a) at least one direct dye； (b) at least one fatty substance； (c) at least one emulsifiable silicone elastomer； and (d) water.
