The present invention relates to a device for controlling spool rotation of a bait cast reel, which is for controlling braking force of spool by magnetic force when casting. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the device for controlling spool rotation of a bait cast reel comprises: a side cover having a through-hole in the center and mounted on an opening at one side of a reel body； a lock dial having a handle inserted into the through-hole to protrude and opening or closing the side cover mounted on the reel body； a spool cover mounted on the side cover to rotatably support a shaft of a spool installed into the body, and including a braking magnet moving in the direction of the shaft of the spool； a control dial securely seated on the inner side of the lock dial to be rotated in both directions in order to be coaxial to the lock dial, operated independently of the lock dial to rotate, and having an adjustment knob at one side and a first cam at the other side； and a brake plate mounted on the spool cover to be able to move in the direction of the shaft and having a second cam corresponding to the first cam therein. When the control dial is rotated at any angle by the adjustment knob, reciprocal motion of the first and second cams transfers the braking magnet in the direction of the shaft of the spool, thereby controlling braking force of the spool.
