This invention is in the field of animal food, in particular food for female animals in their reproductive phase. Food according to the invention improves the fertility of animals and increases their chances on a pregnancy. It was found that the fertility of animals may be improved by feeding the animal with a certain amount of natural occuring immune enhancing ingredients such as beta-glucans and/or phytohormones like auxin or gibberellic acid. Also, combinations of these substances, in particular the combination of beta-glucans and phytohormones, were shown to have a synergistic effect in that they improved the fertility of the animal more than these individual components on their own.Cette invention relève du domaine des aliments pour animaux, en particulier des aliments pour animaux femelles dans leur phase de reproduction. Selon cette invention, des aliments améliorent la fertilité d'animaux et augmentent leur chance de gestation. On a découvert que la fertilité d'animaux pouvait être améliorée si lesdits animaux étaient nourris avec une certaine quantité d'ingrédients naturels immunostimulants tels que des bêta-glucanes et/ou des phytohormones telles que l'auxine ou l'acide gibbérellique. En outre, il a été démontré que des combinaisons de ces substances, en particulier la combinaison de bêta-glucanes et de phytohormones, avait un effet synergique en ce qu'elles améliorent la fertilité de l'animal plus que ces composants individuels utilisés seuls.
