One aspect relates to a coil comprising at least two composite wires. The composite wire includes a first part and a second part. The first part is a metallic component. The second part includes an alloy of:a) Cr in the range from about 10 to about 30 wt. %；b) Ni in the range from about 20 to about 50 wt. %；c) Mo in the range from about 2 to about 20 wt. %；d) Co in the range from about 10 to about 50 wt. %.The Al content of the Cr, Ni, Mo and Co alloy is less than about 0.01 wt. % and each wt. % is based on the total weight of the alloy. The first part may at least partially surround the second part when seen in a cross section.
