The present subject matter relates to herbicidal compositions for controlling undesired vegetation. Specifically, the present subject matter relates to herbicidal compositions comprising a synergistic combination of Propaquizafop and co-herbicides, wherein co- herbicide may be selected from Fomesafen, Lactofen, Acifluorfen, Bentazon, and Chloransulam methyl. The present invention also relates to process for preparing the said herbicidal compositions comprising Propaquizafop and a co-herbicide wherein the said herbicides may be selected from Fomesafen, Lactofen, Acifluorfen, Bentazon, Chloransulam methyl and at least one agrochemically acceptable excipient.
