PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately complement information missing caused by a defective element of a probe even when simple complement processing has difficulty.SOLUTION: A measuring apparatus includes: the probe where receiving elements are arranged two-dimensionally a storage device that stores a position of the receiving elements where a receiver sensitivity is equal to or lower than, or higher than a predetermined threshold a driving unit for moving a measured position of the probe with respect to a subject a creating unit that creates movement information of the probe and a signal processor that acquires information of the subject from an elastic wave measured in each measuring point.
