Disclosed is a method of exterminating animal parasites, comprising administering orally or parenterally to an animal a composition comprising, as an active ingredient, at least one amide derivative represented by the following Formula (1): wherein, in Formula (1), Q1 represents a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with a halogen atom X1 represents a fluorine atom X2, X3, and X4 each represent a hydrogen atom R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C3 alkyl group R2 represents a hydrogen atom Y1 and Y5 each independently represent a halogen atom or a C1-C3 haloalkyl group Y2 and Y4 each represent a hydrogen atom and Y3 represents a heptafluoroisopropyl group, wherein a dosage in case of oral administration is in the range from about 0.0001 to 10,000 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, and a dosage in case of parenteral administration is in the range from about 0.0001 to 10,000 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, and the composition is administered in single or in divided doses, a concentration of the active ingredient in the composition is from 0.005 to 80% by weight, the parenteral administration is selected from the group consisting of spot-on method pour-on method a method in which the medicament is released from a collar containing the medicament a method in which the medicament is directly applied to a body surface a method in which the medicament in a form of an aerosol is applied with a spray a method in which the medicament in a form of an injectable is injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously and rectal administration with a suppository, and the animal is selected from the group consisting of horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, camels, buffalos, deer, minks, chinchillas, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, dogs, cats, monkeys, rats, mice, golden hamsters, and guinea pigs. Representative compounds of formula (1) include 2-fluoro-3-(N-methylbenzamide)-N-(2-bromo-6-trifluoromethyl-4-(heptafluoropropan-2-yl)phenyl)benzamide, 2-fluoro-3-(4-fl
