A replacement mitral heart valve (28) comprises an expandable frame (40) comprising a first portion (40) configured to be positioned in a left atrium of the heart and a second portion (60) configured to be positioned inside of a native mitral valve annulus, wherein the frame has a D-shaped cross-section, a plurality of anchors (90) extending from the frame, wherein the plurality of anchors are configured to be positioned on a left ventricular side of the native mitral valve annulus and extend generally toward the first portion, and a valve body (30) attached to the frame.
