The system (2) has an implant (4) inserted under skin of an animal (1). A remote relay terminal (8) is in communication with the implant by a wireless connection unit. The implant acquires data relating to physiological parameter of an animal at a determined frequency, where the implant is a compact, autonomous and active. The implant comprises a circuit supplied by a lithium-thionyl battery and/or a biofuel cell. The circuit comprises a sensor for measurement the physiological parameter, a microprocessor, a storage unit, a clock and a radio communication module.Ce système (2) de suivi en temps réel d'un paramètre physiologique d'un animal comporte un implant destiné à être introduite sous la peau d'un animal et au moins une borne relais (8) distante, au sol, propre à communiquer au moyen d'une liaison sans fil avec l'implant.
