PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to easily perform operations relative to the imaging position which is set for each imaging protocol.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a display control part； an operation accepting part； and a process execution part. The display control part associates protocol information which identifies an imaging protocol with positioning information which indicates that the imaging position in the imaging protocol has been already set and is indicated as an area where operations can be accepted and allows a display part to indicate it. The operation accepting part accepts operations for the area indicating the positioning information which is shown on the display part. The process execution part executes processing on the basis of the imaging position relative to the imaging protocol corresponding to the positioning information, in accordance with operations for the positioning information accepted by the operation accepting part.
