PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice composition having an astringent real feeling derived from organic acid or a salt thereof, almost no liquid separation after a long period of storage, good formability, less threading property, and excellent usability.SOLUTION: The dentifrice composition contains (A) phytic acid and/or a salt thereof, (B) xanthane gum, and (C) sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, wherein the mass ratio of (B)/(A) is 0.3 to 2.0, the mass ratio of (C)/(B) is 0.2 to 5.0, and the pH at 25°C is 5.5 to 6.5. Alternatively, the dentifrice composition contains (A) organic acid selected from malic acid and tartaric acid and/or a salt thereof, and the (B) and (C) components, wherein the mass ratio of (B)/(A) is 0.3 to 2.0, the mass ratio of (C)/(B) is 0.2 to 3.0, and the pH at 25°C is 5.5 to 6.5. The dentifrice composition has an astringent real feeling derived from organic acid or a salt thereof, almost no liquid separation after a long period of storage, good formability, and less threading property.
