#$%^&*AU2009208070B220141218.pdf#####DOUBLE THREADED TISSUE TACK Abstract There is disclosed a threaded tissue tack (10) for use in approximating and securing a pair of tissue sections together. The threaded tissue tack has a central body 5 portion (12) and first and second screws extending (14, 16) from opposite ends of the central body portion (12). The first screw (14) includes a left-hand thread (18) and the second (16) includes a right-hand thread (20). Engagement structure is provided on the central body portion (12) to rotate the threaded tissue tack (10) about its longitudinal axis (x-x) and into the pair of tissue sections. There is also disclosed a tack driver (40) for io rotating the threaded tissue tack (10) into the tissue.
