A delivery system for an intraocular lens, comprising: an injector body having a channel surrounded by an inner wall； a piston configured to fit snugly inside the channel； a plurality of deflectable elements connected to the piston and configured to contact the inner wall and deviate when the piston is inserted into the channel, in which the deflectable elements center the rod and in which the many deflectable elements, when inserted into the injector body, contribute to the formation of a predetermined force, counteracting the advancement of the piston when deflecting within the channel. 2. The system according to claim 1, in which the deflectable elements have an arcuate shape and are designed so that the tip of each of the arcuate deflectable elements is in contact with the inner wall. The system according to claim 1, in which the value of a predetermined force counteracting the advancement of the piston is based on the results of studies of many medical specialists. The system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of deflectable members comprises a first pair of deflectable members and a second pair of deflectable members, the first pair being closer to the distal end of the piston than the second pair. The system according to claim 1, in which the piston and the plurality of deflectable elements are formed as a single unit of material.
