Method for making an orthosis of a body part of a person, wherein the method comprises of: - measuring the body part with a shape and in a pose in order to obtain measurement data of the body part； - correlating the measurement data of the body part to a predetermined statistical shape model of a corresponding reference body part in order to calculate parameters of the statistical shape model； - digitally forming an orthosis model on the basis of the statistical shape model with the known parameters； - producing the orthosis via a CAD/CAM system on the basis of the digitally formed orthosis model.L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une orthèse d'une partie corporelle d'une personne, le procédé consistant à : - mesurer la partie corporelle présentant une forme et dans une pose en vue d'obtenir des données de mesure de la partie corporelle ； - corréler les données de mesure de la partie corporelle à un modèle de forme statistique prédéterminé d'une partie corporelle de référence correspondante afin de calculer des paramètres du modèle de forme statistique ； - former de manière numérique d'un modèle d'orthèse sur base du modèle de forme statistique avec les paramètres connus ； - fabriquer l'orthèse via un système CAO/FAO sur base du modèle d'orthèse formé numériquement.
