PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve intended sterilization by surely immersing a material to be treated present in a treatment tank into hot water, in a sterilizer of a hot-water storage type.SOLUTION: A sterilizer includes a treatment tank 2 in which a material 4 to be treated is stored, a hot-water storage tank 3 for storing water to be fed into the treatment tank 2, a means 14 of heating the treatment tank for heating water stored in the treatment tank 2, and a means 18 of heating the hot-water storage tank for heating water stored in the hot-water storage tank 3. A material 4 to be treated is received in the treatment tank 2 and hot water from the hot-water storage tank 3 is stored therein, and water stored in the treatment tank 2 is kept at a prescribed temperature by the means 14 of heating the treatment tank to heat and sterilize the material 4 to be treated. In the sterilizing process, water is stored in the hot-water storage tank 3 and the water stored therein is kept at the prescribed temperature by the means 18 of heating the hot-water storage tank. If the water level in the treatment tank 2 falls below the minimum water level, hot water is supplied from the hot-water storage tank 3 to the treatment tank 2 until it reaches a prescribed water level.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】貯湯式の殺菌装置において、処理槽内の被処理物を確実に熱水に浸けて所期の殺菌を実現する。【解決手段】被処理物4が収容される処理槽2と、この処理槽2内への給水を貯留する貯湯槽3と、処理槽2内の貯留水を加熱する処理槽加熱手段14と、貯湯槽3内の貯留水を加熱する貯湯槽加熱手段18とを備える。処理槽2内に被処理物4を収容すると共に貯湯槽3からの熱水を貯留し、処理槽加熱手段14により処理槽2内の貯留水を設定温度に維持して、被処理物4を加熱して殺菌する。この殺菌工程中、貯湯槽3内に水を貯留して、この貯留水を貯湯槽加熱手段18により設定温度に維持しておき、処理槽2内の水位が下限水位を下回ると設定水位になるまで、貯湯槽3から処理槽2内へ熱水を供給する。【選択図】図2
