A method of selecting a subject for treatment with an oncolytic virus is disclosed, the method comprising determining in vitro the stability of an oncolytic virus in an effusion fluid sample obtained from a subject having or suspected of having a cancer, and where the oncolytic virus is stable in the effusion fluid sample selecting the subject for treatment with the oncolytic virus.La présente invention a trait à une méthode de sélection dun sujet destiné à être traité au moyen dun virus oncolytique, ladite méthode faisant appel à la détermination in vitro de la stabilité dun virus oncolytique dans un échantillon de fluide dépanchement obtenu auprès dun sujet atteint ou susceptible dêtre atteint dun cancer, le virus oncolytique étant stable dans léchantillon de fluide dépanchement permettant de sélectionner le sujet destiné à être traité au moyen dudit virus oncolytique.
