PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial skin having reconstructed hair follicles with excellent hair growth effects, a method of manufacturing the same, and an evaluation system for a hair growing component.
SOLUTION: In the artificial skin, papilla cells into which polynucleotide including at least the coding region of the hair growing component is introduced and keratinocytes including stem cells are cultivated with a dermal substitute as the scaffold. The method of manufacturing the artificial skin comprises (a) a step of introducing polynucleotide including at least the coding region of the hair growing component into the papilla cells and (b) a step of cultivating the papilla cells, into which polynucleotide including at least the coding region of the hair growing component obtained in the step (a) is introduced, together with keratinocytes including stem cells with the dermal substitute as the scaffold.
