The present invention relates to equipment for treating periodontal disease using a sterilization ray which comprises a light source generating a sterilization ray of a specific wavelength having a sterilizing power, and an irradiation device irradiating the sterilization ray generated in the light source into a gum getting a periodontal disease. The irradiation device comprises an optical fiber of certain length having a first end in which a light from the light source flows in and having a second end irradiating the incident light to the gum getting a periodontal disease, wherein the first end of the optical fiber is fixed near the light source by a fixing means and the second end of the optical fiber has the front end of the second end to be sharp to be easily inserted into the gum. At the same time, the irradiation device preferably includes a handle with a gripping part near the second end to be easily gripped.본 발명은 살균선을 이용하여 치주질환을 치료하는 장치에 관한 것으로, 살균력을 갖는 특정 파장의 살균선을 발생하는 광원 및 광원에서 발생한 살균선을 치주질환에 감염된 잇몸 내로 조사하는 조사장치로 구성된다.상기 조사장치는 광원으로부터의 광이 입사하는 제1 단부와 입사된 광을 치주질환에 감염된 잇몸 내로 조사하는 제2 단부를 갖는 일정 길이의 광섬유를 포함하되, 상기 광섬유의 제1 단부는 고정수단에 의해 광원 근방에 고정되며 상기 광섬유의 제2 단부는 잇몸 내로 삽입하기 용이하도록 제2 단부 선단이 뾰족하게 형성된다. 이때, 상기 조사장치가 파지하기 용이하도록 하는 파지부를 갖는 손잡이를 제2 단부 근방에 구비하는 것이 바람직하다.
