PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise a manually controlled tool which can inexpensively achieve a solution to a problem in which though the use of robots etc. has been attempted for pruning high branches for which the base of a crane and the like cannot be used and which cannot be reached by height workers, it is not possible to prune branches higher than around 5 m even when using a saw attached to a pole, because of restrictions imposed by the dead weight of the pole etc.SOLUTION: A commercially available saw is moved utilizing a seesaw motion performed around a shaft secured to a branch to be pruned to enable attachment of a secured shaft, the seesaw motion and application of pressure to the saw from the ground only by operations through a rope or the like, thereby manually pruning high branches higher than 10 m.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
