PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning damper for a prosthetic device in which, in the rehabilitation of a wearer, even if an excessive impact is burdened with physical bending-stretching motion or bending operation, a viscous fluid existing in a gap between a rotor and a case performs attenuation control of relative kinetic energy between a first wearing body and a second wearing body, and absorbs and relaxes an excessive impact generated in a wearing place of the prosthetic device in the body, and also exhibits a damper function superior in impact strength over a long term.SOLUTION: A turning damper 100 for a prosthetic device includes a case 110 mounted in one side of a first wearing body FA and a second wearing body UA, a rotor 120 mounted in the other side and stored in a case in a relatively turning manner to the case 110 and a viscous fluid 130 existing in a gap between the case 110 and the rotor 120.
