The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory composition containing Suaeda japonica extract as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition capable of completely attenuating expression of LPS-induced inflammation inducible nitrogen oxide synthase (iNOS) mRNA and production of nitrogen oxide (NO) in HeLa cell, an epithelial cell, thereby being effectively used as an effective anti-inflammatory cosmetic composition or a pharmaceutical composition.본 발명은 칠면초 추출물을 유효 성분으로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 항염증성 조성물에 관한 것으로 더욱 상세하게는 본 발명의 조성물은 상피세포인 HeLa 세포에 있어서 LPS-유발 유도성 질소 산화물 합성(iNOS) mRNA 발현 및 NO 생산을 완전히 약화시킬 수 있으므로 효율적인 항염증성 화장료 또는 약학 조성물로 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.
