A device for applying a dressing to a wound with the application of local negative pressure to the wound area, comprising: an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate; a gas-tight coating layer located above the absorbing layer, having at least one hole for transmitting negative pressure through the coating layer of at least in at least two areas located at a distance from each other. 2. The device according to claim 1, in which a gas-permeable, but impermeable to liquids filter membrane is located in each of said openings. The device according to claim 1, additionally containing an input element hermetically attached to the coating layer around the perimeter of the specified at least one hole. The device according to claim 1, wherein said at least one hole comprises: at least two holes in the coating layer, each of which is located in a respective of said at least two zones located at a distance from each other; and a fluid flow path connecting the at least two openings. 5. The device according to claim 4, in which the first of said at least two holes is located in the first corner zone of the coating layer, and the second of said at least two holes is located in the second corner zone of the coating layer.
