PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information monitoring apparatus having an escalation function in which, in the case where, after a vital alarm that is output in failure of a biological signal, or a technical alarm that is output in failure of the biological information monitoring apparatus, a sensor or a measurement environment is produced, the alarm is continued at the same priority, the priority of the alarm can be changed (for example, from medium priority to high priority) when the alarm state satisfies predetermined conditions.SOLUTION: The biological information monitoring apparatus includes an alarm control part for outputting the vital alarm that is output in failure of a detected biological signal or the technical alarm that is output in failure of the biological information monitoring apparatus, the sensor or the measurement environment.
