606253 Disclosed is patient interface respiration mask which comprises separate nasal (10) and mouth (20) portions. The nasal portion is adapted to be in communication with pressurised gas for delivery to at least one nasal opening. The mouth portion is adapted to be in communication with pressurised gas for delivery to an oral cavity of the user&rsquo；s mouth. The patient interface is adapted to limit a flow of the pressurized gas out of at least one aperture (24) of the mouth portion to be no greater than a flow of the pressurized gas out of at least one nasal portion aperture (18). A retrofit kit for converting a nasal-only mask to a combined mouth and nasal mask is also disclosed.
