A gel container (5) is positioned inside the main body (3), the gel container (5) being provided with a cavity (6) for holding an amount of gel-like lubricating agent. The gel container (5) comprises a first opening (7) at a distal end, and a second opening (8) at a proximal end. The catheter tube (1a) is disposed through the first opening (7) and second opening (8) when stored in the package.
