Methods and systems are disclosed including a method for providing hands-free illumination during medical procedures, comprising obtaining a sterile light system comprising a pad assembly comprising a pad having a first side having an adhesive and a second side opposite the first side, and a post with a proximal end connected to the second side of the pad and extending to a rounded distal end； and a light assembly attachable to and rotatable about the distal end of the post and comprising a case, one or more light emitting diode (LED), one or more power source, and one or more switch； attaching the sterile light system to a patient to illuminate a desired area of the patient； and performing a medical and/or caregiving procedure for the desired area of the patient.
