PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact metal cut chip compression apparatus which has a small size, and can compress and recover metal cut chips at a low cost.SOLUTION: A cut chip compression mechanism 6 is configured to have a compression roller 7 in which a cut chip transfer claw 8, which is retractable in a radial direction by a spring 12, is built, and a cut chip transportation path 10 which is separated from an outer peripheral surface of the compression roller 7 and has an arc-shaped compression molding surface 9a. The cut chip transportation path 10 is eccentrically formed so that a clearance between the path and the outer peripheral surface of the compression roller 7 is gradually reduced from an introduction port 10a for cut chips 15 toward a discharge port 10b.
