Disclosed herein are vitrectomy probes and related methods. This disclosure describes various exemplary vitrectomy probes that include a rotating spiral cutter. One exemplary spiral cutter includes an outer cutter portion and an inner cutter portion received therein. The inner cutter portion is operable to rotationally reciprocate within the outer cutter portion about its longitudinal axis.
