A synthetic bone substitute, includes a mixture of osteoconductive particles of first and second average particle sizes, suspended in a water-soluble reverse-phase hydrogel carrier in which the first average particle size is less than about 100 mum, and the second average particle size is about 100-500 mum. A method of producing the same is also described.본 발명은 수용성 역상 (reverse-phase) 하이드로겔 캐리어에 현탁되는 제1 평균 입도 및 제2 평균 입도의 골전도성 (osteoconductive) 입자의 혼합물을 포함하는 합성 골 대체재 (bone substitute) 및 이의 제조 방법를 제공하며, 여기서 상기 제1 평균 입도는 약 100 μm 미만이고, 제2 평균 입도는 약 100~500 μm이다.
