Provided herein are therapeutic methods, kits, and pharmaceutical compositions for protecting a subject from radiation using a therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of RRx-OOl and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. One exemplary therapeutic method involves administering RRx-OOl to the subject prior to the subject being exposed to the radiation, in order to protect the subject against radiation, such as ionizing radiation containing α-rays, β- rays, γ-rays, neutron radiation, or a combination thereof.L'invention concerne des méthodes thérapeutiques, des kits et des compositions pharmaceutiques pour protéger un sujet contre un rayonnement à l'aide d'un agent thérapeutique choisi dans le groupe constitué par RRx-OOl et un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci.
