A catheter according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a hollow adaptor having a proximal opening and a distal terminal a cannula fixed in the distal terminal, and extending from the distal terminal and a valve member coming in contact with the hollow adaptor to be sealed, and capable of canceling the sealing contact when a needle is inserted into the pipe of the cannula through the proximal opening. The valve member includes a coupling part and a separation membrane part. The coupling part is fixed to the side wall of the hollow adaptor, and the separation membrane part is canceled from the sealing contact by the needle during the insertion to be pushed back against the outer wall surface of the needle. By a means of the withdrawal of the inserted needle, a re-sealing contact with the hollow adaptor is ensured.
