The water-soluble extract of Artemisia capillaris Thunb. increases the expression of cytokines such as G-CSF, IL-4, and IL-10, and thus activates the process of T cells differentiating into T_(h2) cells or regulatory T cells, instead of inhibiting T cells from differentiating into T_(h1) cells, thereby inhibiting inflammatory responses and immune responses.
