The invention relates to a method for the filling and flushing of a blood tubeset,comprising a pump segment for a blood pump, an arterial line connected to aninletof a dialysis machine and a venous line connected to an outlet of a dialysismachine, via a substituate line. In this connection, it comprises the steps oftheconnection of the arterial line to the venous line and of the connection ofthese twolines to a rinse port, connection of the substituate line to a substituateport, openingof the rinse port, filling the arterial and venous lines, flushing thearterial and venouslines, closing of the rinse port, circulation of the substituate in thecircuit of arterialline, dialysis machine and venous line by the blood pump, with it beingcharacterized in that the filling and/or the flushing of the arterial andvenous linestake/takes place simultaneously, with substituate being supplied from thesubstituate line.
