A method of producing an amidoamine alkoxylate is disclosed that involves reacting a triglyceride, a carboxylic acid, or a combination of triglyceride and carboxylic acid with an alkyleneamine to produce an amidoamine and alkoxylating the amidoamine with an alkylene oxide.
