PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger having a shape/structure capable of efficiently heating liquid in a fluid flow path.SOLUTION: Approximately S-shaped loop (SLTE) is formed at an approximately center part (C) an approximately spiral-shaped wound tube (STE) is formed on the outer periphery of the loop (SL). A liquid inflow port (12) and a liquid outflow port (13) are arranged so that each of the ports faces a side part (S)s one direction, where the ports directions are the approximately same direction or directions approximately opposite to each other. The loop (SLTE), the wound tube (STE), the liquid inflow port (12), and the liquid outflow port (13) are arranged substantially on the same plane. The wound tube (STE)s cross section is formed in an approximately elliptical shape with an oblateness of 30 to 70%.
