PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for identifying a liver boundary in order to improve the identification efficiency of the liver boundary. SOLUTION: The identification method of the present invention uses the acquisition of the liver tissue information to be identified 11 and the image processing technique or the signal processing technique, and the characteristics of the liver tissue corresponding to the liver tissue information and the liver tissue boundary. It includes 12 identifying the liver tissue boundary in the liver tissue information based on the characteristics, and 13 outputting the position information of the identified liver tissue boundary. By this method, the liver tissue boundary can be automatically identified, and the identification efficiency of the liver boundary can be improved, so that the automatic positioning of the liver boundary is realized.
