PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the quality deterioration of seeds, i.e. a treated material, and to reduce their loss in an apparatus for heating and cooling water.SOLUTION: The apparatus for heating and cooling water includes: a water tank (1) for storing hot water a cooling tank (10) for storing cooling water a hot water conveyor (3) for sequentially supplying seeds to the cooling tank (10) after sequentially transporting seeds to the cooling tank (10) side in the water tank (1) and a cooling conveyor for sequentially transporting the seeds to the outlet side in the cooling tank (10).
