PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for corneal endothelium examination which examines several different parts of an eye to be examined by keeping the eye to be examined basically fixed and dispensing with changing the direction of the line of sight.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for corneal endothelium examination includes a body 10 that houses an examination optical system including an illumination optical system for illuminating the anterior part of the eye to be examined E from an oblique front direction by means of illumination light and a photography optical system for receiving reflected light reflected at the anterior part of the eye to be examined from the oblique front direction, an optical system linear movement means for moving the body 10 linearly in the XYZ axes directions, an optical system rotary movement means for rotating the examination optical system around a vertical axis and also around a horizontal axis perpendicular to a horizontal axis extending toward the eye to be examined E, and fixation indexes 120L and 120R arranged movably on the outside of the examination optical system so that the indexes are visible from at least one of the right and left eyes of a subject. The apparatus is configured in such a way that an optical reference axis of the examination optical system is aligned to a slope direction of an arbitrary position of the corneal surface of the eye to be examined E by means of the optical system linear movement means and the optical system rotary movement means.
