PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for the therapy and diagnosis of influenza.SOLUTION: The invention provides compositions, vaccines, and methods for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of influenza infection using a combination of antibodies produced against an influenza hemagglutinin and Matrix 2 ectodomain polypeptide. The invention also provides compositions for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment containing a human antibody produced against an epitope of an influenza hemagglutinin protein, and a human monoclonal antibody produced against an epitope of an influenza M2 protein. And these compositions are pharmaceutical compositions comprising pharmaceutical carriers.
