The present invention relates to a system for purifying air in a rural or built environment or a transition there between, the system comprising: - at least two air throughflow elements for arrangement thereof relative to each other for combined functioning, wherein an air throughflow element comprises: - means for fixing to a ground anchor and/or a ground anchor relative to a ground, - a frame for providing a support to flora, the frame extending substantially upward from the ground, wherein : - the air throughflow elements are functionally adapted to support vegetation with a predetermined desired density value, and wherein: - the at least two air throughflow elements have in the arrangement of use a mutual distance lying between 0.01 and 20 times the average height of the at least two air throughflow elements. The present invention also relates to air throughflow elements and methods related to the system.La présente invention concerne un système servant à purifier l'air dans un environnement rural ou bâti ou une zone de transition entre ces derniers, ledit système comprenant : au moins deux éléments de passage d'air destinés à être agencés l'un par rapport à l'autre de façon à fonctionner de manière combinée, un élément de passage d'air comprenant des moyens pour fixer ce dernier à un élément d'ancrage dans le sol et/ou un élément d'ancrage dans le sol； un cadre servant de support à un élément floristique et s'étendant sensiblement vers le haut à partir du sol, les éléments de passage d'air étant conçus sur le plan fonctionnel pour supporter de la végétation avec une valeur de densité souhaitée prédéterminée； lesdits au moins deux éléments de passage d'air, lors de leur utilisation, étant agencés à une distance l'un de l'autre représentant entre 0,01 et 20 fois la hauteur moyenne desdits au moins deux éléments de passage.
