An herbal extract for inhibiting fatty liver is made from the method below: a drying step, an extraction step, and a concentration step. The drying step is drying Andrographis paniculata and Acanthopanax senticosus until the water content is below 10%, and obtaining a dry Andrographis paniculata and a dry Acanthopanax senticosus respectively. The extraction step is mixing the dry Andrographis paniculata and the dry Acanthopanax senticosus, and obtaining a mixture. Extracting the mixture by ethanol under 45~55℃ and obtaining an extract liquid. The concentration step is condensing the extract liquid.
