An endoscopic system 1 of the present invention includes an endoscope 2 having an input portion 6, a monitor 13 which displays an image taken with the endoscope, and an observation apparatus 10 which is detachably attached to the endoscope, and which, when connected to the endoscope, automatically displays on the monitor a setting view on which a setting can be made through the input portion.
