The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative disease and comprising a COX2-acetylating agent as an active ingredient and, more particularly, to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative disease and comprising a COX2-acetylating agent as an active ingredient, wherein the COX2-acetylating agent inhibits the deposition of amyloid-β in brain neurons, reduces excessive neuroinflammatory reactions, and increases the phagocytosis of amyloid-β by microglial cells. The pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative disease and comprising a COX2-acetylating agent as an active ingredient promotes COX2 acetylation in neurons to induce secretion of SPMs, which are neuroinflammation termination mediators, to thereby relieve neuroinflammation.
