PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for evaluating the resistance to visually induced motion sickness by measuring eyeball movements of an observer showing his ability to follow images whose movements are difficult to predict as an indicator for determining whether he is susceptible to the visually induced motion sickness and calculating numerical values for evaluating his resistance to the visually induced motion sickness.
SOLUTION: While a visible region of the same size as a screen size is randomly moved on a still image of a predetermined pattern of a size larger than the screen size based on visible region movement information, images within the visible region are sequentially obtained and shaking motion images are generated and indicated on the screen. The degree of disagreement between the measured vision angle value which is the angle of rotation of eyeballs of the observer viewing the shaking motion images and is measured by a predetermined unit and an estimated vision angle value which is the displacement of the visible region expressed by the eyeball rotation angle is calculated as the numerical values for evaluating the resistance to the visually induced motion sickness of the observer.
