PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel component that exhibits a retinoid-like action and a collagen production-promoting action and inhibits formation of wrinkles by increasing the thickness of the dermis.SOLUTION: (1) The collagen production promoter contains an extract from a plant belonging to the genus Fragaria of the family Rosaceae as an effective ingredient. (2) The collagen production promoter as described in (1), where a seed is used as a portion of the plant belonging to the genus Fragaria of the family Rosaceae. (3) The collagen production promoter contains an extract from a seed of a litchi as an effective ingredient. (4) The collagen production promoter contains an extract from a plant belonging to the genus Juglans of the family Juglandaceae as an effective ingredient. (5) The retinoid-like action-activating agent contains an extract from a plant belonging to the genus Juglans of the family Juglandaceae as an effective ingredient.
