FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Method of measuring thickness of donor cornea during posterior automated layer-by-layer keratoplasty, where thickness of donor cornea is measured before the first cut and after each subsequent cut. Measurement is performed with the help of an optical coherent tomographic (OCT) instrument; a cassette-holder with an artificial anterior chamber of the eye and a donor cornea fixed in it is placed in front of the tomograph, in the area of the fixation support for the chin and forehead. Cassette is turned with a donor cornea towards the laser radiation source, perpendicular to the radiation and coaxially to the aperture of the device. That is followed by measurement. Cassette-holder for an artificial anterior eye chamber represents a cylinder, the lateral surface of which is limited by a plane of axial section of the cylinder. On the side of this plane there is blind slot arranged along the cylinder base and having a semi-circle shape in the projection. Groove is connected to one of the cylinder bases by a semicircular hole, the axis of which lies in the plane of axial section. Groove and the semicircular hole have a configuration and dimensions allowing installation of the artificial anterior chamber of the eye in the cassette, namely, its base, which has the shape of a cylinder with a two-stage profile.
