A surgical instrument can be provided as described herein. The surgical instrument can include a handle with first and second handle portions. One of the first and second housing portions can include a proximal latch and a proximal latch pin. The proximal latch and proximal latch pin can be configured to lock the first and second housing portions together at proximal ends thereof.
