A method of treating a pulmonary disorder in a patient, comprising administering to the patient an effective dose of an atomized composition of liposomal amikacin for at least one treatment cycle, where:! the treatment cycle includes an administration period of 15 to 75 days, followed by a withdrawal period of 15 to 75 days; ! and an effective dose includes 100 to 2500 mg of amikacin daily during the administration period. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, where the treatment cycle is repeated at least twice. ! 3. The method according to claim 1, where the administration period is from 15 to 35 days. ! 4. The method according to claim 1, where the administration period is from 20 to 35 days. ! 5. The method according to claim 1, where the administration period is approximately 28 days. ! 6. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is from 15 to 35 days. ! 7. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is from 20 to 35 days. ! 8. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is approximately 28 days. ! 9. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is from 25 to 75 days. ! 10. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is from 35 to 75 days. ! 11. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is from 45 to 75 days. ! 12. The method according to claim 1, where the cancellation period is approximately 56 days. ! 13. The method according to claim 1, where the administration period is approximately 28 days, and the withdrawal period is approximately 28 days. ! 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the administration period is approximately 28 days and the withdrawal period is approximately 56 days. ! 15. The method according to claim 1, where the effective dose includes from 250 to 1500 mg of amikacin. ! 16. The method according to claim 1, where the effective dose includes from 250 to 1000 mg of amikacin. ! 17. The method according to claim 1, where the
